Language is made up of sounds that our mouth is producing, with movements that our lips, tongue, teeth, jaw, and vocal chords are making. A lot is happening in our mouths when we say words. Our babies are brand new and they have never needed to move their mouths to produce a sound... until they are born and are watching us making these movements and sounds. Then realize they want to make them, too, and so they start imitating us. They also realize they can get a response from us when they produce some sound, which motivates them to keep going. It doesn't take much time before they are playing around with sounds and, soon, combining sounds and making a word. Then two, then three. It's fascinating to watch this transformation, watching their little mouths adapt, copy and produce!
My BabyLingua loves babies' sounds! You will be coached in the ways to guide your baby to reproduce those sounds. As caretakers, we are their models and their best resources!
