Play, play, play! That's all children seem to want to do all the time. But what is playing? It goes from moving their mouths and cooing adorably to pulling on our hair; from holding a rattle, a little duck, or a plastic container to making it sound and sucking on it, throwing it, banging it, or filling it up with stuff. From playing peek-a-boo and clapping to getting tickled and thrown around. From building towers with blocks to making castles with sand at the beach. From playing pretend to dressing up. It's anything and everything. It's not only that it's fun for them, but that it's also an interesting experience with each and every game they play. It's a learning moment at all times.... an adventure! And it's especially fun if it's done with their mommy or daddy, grandma or grandpa, their beloved caretaker, or anyone who's willing to hang out. Question is.... are you an observer of their play or do you actively interact with them while playing? When another person interacts with the baby while playing, language will most likely be there, making the adventure - and the learning - even greater. However, we might feel sometimes like we don't know how to play or we don't know what to say. You might be surprised, but this feeling is quite normal. Don't despair! There's always a solution.
My BabyLingua loves to play and interact with little ones! You will be coached on the many ways to approach playing with your baby and to use language accordingly. Language puts baby's thoughts into words.
"Playtime is the perfect opportunity to introduce new vocabulary and phrases to your child - and learning happens more quickly when it's fun!"
