To sum up, what we need to be doing with our children is speaking directly to them all the time. This is the way to help them develop language. We need to speak to them about anything and everything. The more we interact with them verbally, the sooner they'll be able to communicate, the less frustration there'll be, the more aware they'll be of their surroundings and their world, their literacy skills will thrive, the more knowledgeable they'll be, and so much more. Speech is the best gift we can give our children and the best part of it is that it's free! It's all in the power of your words.
